EPCRA Section 312

The annual hazardous chemical inventory requirement, the section the Tier II report is filed under.

Section 312 requires an annual inventory of hazardous chemicals present above reporting thresholds during the previous calendar year. That inventory is the Tier II report.

The federal thresholds are 10,000 pounds for most hazardous chemicals, and for an Extremely Hazardous Substance the lower of 500 pounds or its Threshold Planning Quantity.

Reports are due March 1 and go to the state commission, the local planning committee and the fire department.
